- So far, over 460 candidates from 67 countries have applied for courses in English. The highest number of candidates, 68%, have applied for admission to the Faculty of Medicine. More than 6 people are applying for one place on the nursing studies, which is the highest number in the history of recruitment for this faculty – explains Dr. Habil. Slawomir Wojcik, Head of the University Admissions Office of the MUG. – There have already been 7 entrance exams conducted online, and about 20 more are planned to provide the best conditions for applicants and adapt to the conditions resulting from the pandemic in which matriculation exams are conducted in different countries.

The first exams for the Master of Pharmacy, which were taken by candidates from Iran, have already been held. Candidates from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Brazil, Turkey, and Vietnam will take the next exams. Registration for studies in English in the primary term will be possible until July 18th this year for the Doctor of Medicine, for Nursing and Pharmacy until July 31st, and for the preparatory course Premed until August 31st.

- We expect these figures to increase and perhaps the number of countries from which candidates are recruited to beat last year’s record of 88 countries. We also hope that the early recruitment and changes introduced by us, such as electronic verification of certificates at the place of their issuance will allow the candidates to complete all the formalities related to the arrival and planned start of studies on September 24th this year with the traditional Orientation Week – adds Dr. Habil. S. Wójcik.

Detailed information on the conditions and modes of recruitment are available on the Admission Office website.

Marlon Souza Luis, 6th year English Division medical student from Canada, proved to be unrivalled in this year’s edition of the INTERSTUDENT competition in the master’s degree category. The results were announced on April 26th during the 11th Gala of the Best Foreign Student in Poland competition accompanying the International Students in Poland 2021 conference. It is worth noting that this is the third student of the MUG awarded in this prestigious national competition.
