Let the education begin – ED students' matriculation ceremony

The matriculation of new English Division students took place on 27th September 2024 at Prof. Olgierd Narkiewicz Lecture Hall at the Atheneum Gedanense Novum building.

The ceremony was attended by: Prof. Michał Markuszewski – Rector of the MUG, Prof. Michał Żmijewski – Vice-Rector for Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Habil. Maria Bieniaszewska – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Vice-Deans of the Faculty of Medicine: Prof. Aida Kusiak, Dr. Habil. Kamil Chwojnicki, Dr. Habil. Tomasz Marjański, Dr. Habil. Jarosław Jendrzejewski and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Habil. Danuta Siluk – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Dr. Habil. Ewa Bandurska – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences with the Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Habil. Sławomir Wójcik – head of the Admissions Office was also present. The entire meeting was chaired by Narcyz Knap, Ph.D. from the Department of Medical Chemistry, supervisor of the first-year of medical ED students.

The new students took the oath of office at the hands of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Habil. Maria Bieniaszewska. Then, congratulatory letters were read out by Vice Deans to the students who obtained the highest scores in the admission process.

Congratulatory letters were also presented to students from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Health Sciences who achieved the highest scores in the recruitment process. Three pharmacy students received the letters from Vice-Dean Danuta Siluk, and three nursing students from Vice-Dean Ewa Bandurska.

The last to speak was Mohamad Elhaj.
