The Dean of the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Habil. Ewelina Król, recalled that the idea of organising a national biotechnology network emerged spontaneously. We thought that together we could achieve more. We realise that biotechnology, as a discipline, has only recently emerged but is already a source of groundbreaking innovations and influences the economic development of our country.

All the units that, by signing the letter of intent, express their willingness to join the National Academic Biotechnology Network are renowned not only in Poland but also abroad. The creation of the National Academic Biotechnology Network will allow for various joint activities: from research projects to the training of scientific staff (who will later work in the biotechnology sector).

We want to unite on the principles of complementarity, not competition,” emphasised the Dean of the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG, prof. Ewelina Król. _The network is also open to new scientific institutions.

The stated goals (related to the undeniable increase in the importance of biotechnology in various areas of the economy) are to be achieved by utilizing the existing potential of universities and the experiences of other countries.
