Orientation Week 2024 has begun

24.09.2024

Students from all over the world of first-year English-Division programes, i.e. medicine, nursing and pharmacy, as well as Erasmus+ exchange students, have begun participating in international Orientation Week at the MUG. From 23rd to 27th September, as every year, they are participating in a series of introductory meetings at the University. Participants in this year’s Orientation Week will be able to meet senior colleagues, learn about student organizations, obtain useful information on transportation, health insurance or documents for legalization of residence required in our country, and watch a film that is a form of virtual tour of the MUG campus. The OW programme also includes classes in the basics of the Polish language taught by teachers from the Department of Foreign Languags, as well as visits to the Admissions Office and Dean’s Offices to register and complete documents.

Senior students will introduce student organisations operating at the MUG, introduce students to life in the new reality, introduce subjects and ways to survive the first year, show their new classmates around the campus, provide logistical support for medical check-ups , photo ops for events, and participate in the Integration Grill in the Dorms event held on the premises of the Student Estate. Orientation Week will also include a joint matriculation of students from all English majors.

The Freshmen Seminars are hosted by Marzena Koltoniak and Emilia Wisniewska of Welcome Point MUG (WP), with the support of the staff of the Department of International Relations, Admissions Office and supervisors of English Division. The students were welcomed by Narcyz Knap, Ph.D. (supervisor of the first year ED medicine), as well as Prof. Maria Dudziak and Dr. Habil. Slawomir Wójcik, head of the Admissions Office.
