The European Society of Cardiology (ESC), through its wide range of scientific and educational activities, has earned an international reputation for innovation in cardiovascular medicine, says Prof. Milosz Jaguszewski. – The ambition of the Polish Society of Cardiology (PTK) is to significantly increase the participation of its members in building the strength of the ESC through a combination of professional excellence, professionalism, but also scientific commitment. Working closely with the president of the Polish Society of Cardiology prof. Robert Gil and the president of ESC Thomas Luescher, I will have the pleasure of representing our Department and the PTK in the ESC during the upcoming term of the ESC Board. This is a great honour for me, but also a concrete commitment.

The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) is an independent professional society that works to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment and advance scientific understanding of cardiovascular disease. The ESC consists of 57 national cardiovascular societies, with about 100,000 ESC members, including cardiologists, cardiac nurses and professionals who want to expand their knowledge and update their skills in cardiovascular medicine.
