The international workshop EuCanImage: Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence in Multi-Country Cancer Imaging will take place on 10 June from 9:00 to 14:00 as part of the European Association of Cancer Research conference. The meeting is organised by Maciej Bobowicz, Ph.D. from the 2nd Division of Radiology of the MUG and Martijn Starmans, Ph.D. from Erasmus Medical Center.
The event is addressed to clinical and technical scientists working in the broad field of artificial intelligence in their work, as well as those interested in conducting their own (multi-centre) AI research.
During the workshop, participants will focus on the clinical and technical aspects of trusting artificial intelligence in oncology imaging, using experiences from the H2020 EuCanImage project as a basis for discussion. In addition to discussing the new field of oncology, the meeting will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with EuCanImage data collection, which includes samples from 25,000 patients.
Additional information about the event can be found on the website. Participation in the workshop is free of charge. Advance registration applies. Participant registration is open until 27 May. The number of places is limited.
The research project, under the acronym EuCanImage, funded by the European Commission in the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Framework Programme’s Artificial Intelligence for Health Imaging competition, aims to create a European scientific platform integrating radiological research with clinical data based on next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) for targeted medicine in oncology.
