OPEN DAYS of the First MUG Doctoral School

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Open Days of the First MUG Doctoral School, which will take place on May 28-29, 2024, in Gdańsk, at 7 Dębinki Street (building number 13), in conference room number 23. This unique event is dedicated primarily to students completing their studies and those interested in pursuing a doctoral degree.

On May 28, at 10:00 AM, participants will be welcomed by Prof. Michał Markuszewski, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science and Rector-elect for the upcoming term 2024-2028. The meeting will be hosted by Prof. Jacek M. Witkowski, Ph.D., Director of the First MUG Doctoral School.

The first day of the Open Days will be an opportunity to learn about the school’s extensive offerings, current doctoral students’ experiences, recruitment procedures, and the support provided by the Welcome Point for international PhD students.

The second day will focus on the development opportunities that continuing education at the First MUG Doctoral School opens up. Among the presenters will be the Center for Biostatistical and Bioinformatics Analysis, the Publication Excellence Section, the International Cooperation Department, the NAWA STER – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools Project Manager and the Chairwoman of the Doctoral Students’ Council.

Both days of the event will include Q&A sessions, allowing candidates to ask questions and receive answers that may help them decide to join our community. Additionally, a coffee breaks are planned, providing an ideal opportunity for networking and making valuable connections.

The meeting will also be streamed online.

The event is carried out as part of the project “Doktorat ponad granicami (IntPhD)” funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the “STER – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools” Program.
