Dr. Habil. Aleksander Grabiec from the Department of Microbiology at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, will give a seminar entitled Fibroblasts in chronic inflammatory diseases: passive responders or imprinted aggressors on 14 May at 13:00. The meeting will take place in the Translational Seminar Room of the Institute of Medical Biotechnology and Experimental Oncology in the building of Collegium Biomedicum.
The meeting is organised by Prof. Anna Żaczek – coordinator of research team No. 1. Precision oncology from PRA 1 and Prof. Rafał Sądej – coordinator of research team No. 9. Technological developments for bioanalysis and therapy including cell based, 3D and artificial engineered models from PRA 3. The topics of the meeting also coincide with the scientific interests of PRA 3 research teams: No. 4. Imaging of cell pattern and cellular processes and No. 6. Biobank based basic studies on human pathology.
Dr. Habil. Aleksander Grabiec is a specialist in cell biology. The docent’s research interests focus on the role of epigenetic mechanisms and transcriptional regulation in diseases associated with chronic inflammation.
