MUG ranked again in QS By Subject

Medical University of Gdańsk maintained its position as one of the world’s top universities, according to the latest edition of the world’s most-consulted university ranking and one of the four biggest international academic rankings – QS World University Rankings. MUG has once again been ranked 551-600 in the Medicine category in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 as 4th among domestic scientific institutions. Harvard University was ranked 1st in terms of world institutions in this category, whereas Jagiellonian University took the lead in Poland.

– The re-inclusion of the Medical University of Gdańsk in the QS World University Rankings in the Medicine category is very good news for our entire Community. International recognition of our University is increasingly appreciated for its high level of scientific research and growing research position. It also proves the growing reputation of MUG in the academic community around the world – says Prof. Michał Markuszewski, Vice-Rector for Science. – The effort we all put into the development of the Medical University of Gdańsk brings positive results in a position among the leading global universities according to the latest edition of QS World University Rankings.

The University earned its highest scores for the Academic reputation, Citations per Paper and IRN Index indicators, thereby, confirming the its place among renowned academic centres, where leading publication are being created and frequently cited in prestigious journals. The MUG’s score in the ranking is in itself a part of the consistently implemented ranking policy, a crucial part of the MUG Strategy 2019-2025.
