This year’s edition of Nagoya Days and Japanese Culture will take place on 8-9 April 2024. The event is co-organised by the Department of Medical Chemistry of the MUG, the Main Library of the MUG and the Student Scientific Circle of the Department of Medical Chemistry of the MUG.
The meeting will begin in the Main Library of the MUG, where at 12:00 Prof. Michal Woźniak from the Department of Medical Chemistry of the MUG will introduce the collaboration between Prof. Jerzy Popinigis and Prof. Takashi Wakabayashi in the context of the development of cooperation between Gdańsk and Nagoya. This will be followed by a lecture by Shiro Kohei, a student from Nagoya, who will present issues related to sushi. The meeting will be highlighted by a presentation of a shogun-style Japanese kettle by Ashikaga Yoshimasa and a tasting of green tea and sushi.
On the second day of the meeting, at 12:15 in the Prof. Włodzimierz Mozołowski Lecture Hall in the Collegium Biomedicum, Shiro Kohei and members of the the Student Scientific Circle of the Department of Medical Chemistry of the MUG will introduce participants to the health aspects of medicinal chemistry of green tea, as well as provide an opportunity for green tea tasting.
