You’re cordially invited to the inaugural meeting in the new research seminar series ...where discovery science meets clinical medicine hosted by Prof. Krzysztof Narkiewicz.
This seminar marks the beginning of an exciting opportunity to discover MUG’s research potential with subsequent sessions scheduled every last Wednesday of each month (April is an exception due to Authorities’ Election).
When?
17 April 2024, 2.30 PM
Where?
Kieturakis Hall, Invasive Medicine Centre, Smoluchowskiego 17
During this session, Prof. Marek Niedoszytko will describe the prevalence of onophylactic reactions worldwide, and the role of most cell activation syndrome (MCAS), hereditary alpha tryptosemio (HAT), and epigenetic mechanisms associated with microbiome interactions, pollution, and climate change. Next, Prof. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak will discuss the pivotal role of epidermal kerotinocytes in supporting the structural and immunological barrier of the skin, focusing on the role of aberrant cellular communication between kerotinocytes and immune cells in perpetuating allergic inflammation in atopic dermatitis (AD).
The seminar series in English will be followed by tea, coffee and biscuits — an ideal chance to connect with collaboration-ready speakers.
