The 32nd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOŚP), which will take place on January 28th 2024 across Poland, will be dedicated to the purchase of equipment for the diagnosis, monitoring and rehabilitation of pulmonary diseases of patients in pulmonology wards for children and adults.
On this occasion, the University Student Government of the Medical University of Gdańsk has planned several activities related to the possibility of supporting the GOCC, encouraging the academic community of our University to participate in the following events:
As part of its support for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, our University has donated a voucher for a workshop entitled Mysteries of Bones – a meeting with forensic anthropology at the MUG for a charity auction. During the workshop, Dorota Pieśniak, Ph.D. from the Department of Forensic Medicine will discuss theoretical and practical issues of working with bone remains. The winner of the auction will be able to see, among other things, how bone remains are identified and what the mechanisms of their damage are, as well as complete a skeleton themselves. The auction takes place online.
SKN of Emergency Nursing of the MUG has prepared a first aid demonstration combined with a GOCC collection, which will take place on January 28 this year, from 15:00-20:00 at the Montownia Food Hall (Lisia Grobla 7 street, Gdansk). More information is available on the Facebook profile.
