Matthias Bochtler, Ph.D. – open lecture

Matthias Bochtler, Ph.D. from the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB) and the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IBB) will give a lecture on the Biochemistry of cell fate maintenance and change. The event, part of the Science, Biotech and Beyond series, will take place on 13 November at 13:30 in room 02/DD/03 at the UCC Centre for Invasive Medicine. The meeting will be hosted by Wojciech Siwek, Ph.D. from the International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science of the UG. The initiative is a collaboration between the Medical University of Gdańsk and the University of Gdańsk.

Speaker’s profile

Matthias is a joined professor at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB) and the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IBB), Warsaw, PL. He has broad scientific interests ranging from biology of DNA modifications, structural mechanisms of nuclease and protease action, as well as physical chemistry ofmacromolecules. He is an author of more than a hundred publications, including in top tier scientific journals e.g., Nature Communications, Science Advances, PNAS, EMBO Journal, Nucleic Acids Research, Nature and more.
