The Medical University of Gdańsk is again present on the list of world’s best universities according to the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings is the only world’s prestiogious ranking evaluating universities in terms of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
Our University was classified in the ranking for the second time in the position 801-1000 and is the highest rated Polish medical university. It was among 1596 universities from around the world, and among 23 Polish universities it took 9th place (ex aequo) with Kozminski University, Silesian University of Technology and Poznań University of Technology. The first place in the world was again taken by Western Sydney University, and among Polish academic centres – by the University of Gdańsk.
The MUG received the highest scores in such SDGs as: Good Health and Quality of Life (SDG3), where it was ranked 101-200 among over 1,200 universities in the world that implement this Goal. This makes our University the best academic centre in Poland supporting SDG3. As in 2022, the MUG also performed well in SDG10 (Less Inequalities) and SDG5 (Gender Equality).
