Institute of Nursing and Midwifery of the MUG is organizer of the open lectures which will be delivered by Prof. Laura t. Gantt from the College of Nursing at East Carolina University, USA. Prelections will take place in a hybrid form: stationary at the lecture room B15_3.29 (building no. 15 at Dębinki 7 street, 3rd floor) and online. Initiative is aimed both to the students and employees of the MUG. The internet register is necessary to participate in the event.

Prof. Laura T. Gantt is a Professor and Associate Dean for Nursing Support Services in the College of Nursing at East Carolina University. In this role, she has responsibility for the simulation and skills labs (Concepts Integration Labs), the instructional technology (IT) department, Student Services, and the Student Development and Counseling Center (SDCC). She was born and raised in North Carolina, though she has lived in other parts of the country. Dr. Gantt has published on emergency department and simulation center operations, interprofessional education, and teaching and evaluation with simulations. Her book, Healthcare Simulation: A Guide for Operations Specialists, was published by Wiley in 2016. She has clinical experience in diverse settings, including time spent as a pediatric nurse, flight nurse, and administrator of emergency and transport services. In her free time, she practices in an ED extension.
