Institute of Nursing and Midwifery of the MUG is organizer of the open lectures which will be delivered by Mark C. Hand, Ph.D. from the East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, USA. Prelections will take place in a hybrid form: stationary at the lecture room B15_3.29 (building no. 15 at Dębinki 7 street, 3rd floor) and online. Initiative is aimed both to the students and employees of the MUG. The internet register is necessary to participate in the event.

Mark Hand, Ph.D.
Mark Hand, Ph.D.

Mark Hand, Ph.D. is a Clinical Professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He has over 25 years of nursing experience in Medical/Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedics and Perianesthesia Nursing. Dr. Hand has taught in ADN, BSN & Graduate Nursing programs. He is currently on the Board of Governors of the National League for Nursing. His research interests include men in nursing education, LGBTQ+ health education in nursing education, and academic success in nursing students. He is a Certified Nurse Educator and a recipient of the Excellence in Classroom and Clinical Teaching Daisy Award. Dr Hand is a faculty advisor for the Men in Nursing Chapter of the American Association of Men in Nursing (AAMN). He has written and published in nursing journals and presented at several nursing conferences locally, nationally, and internationally.
