Laureate of the KIF's contest for the best master's thesis

We got to know the results of this year’s edition of master’s theses contest in the field of physiotherapy, which was organized by the Polish Chamber of Physiotherapists (Krajowa Izba Fizjoterapeutów, KIF). On the high third position placed Dominika Siluk, M.A., a graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk with a thesis entitled The influence of a modern model of physiotherapeutic care on the quality of functioning of postpartum women/patients in the postpartum period (Wpływ nowoczesnego Modelu Opieki Fizjoterapeutycznej na jakość funkcjonowania położnic/pacjentek w okresie poporodowym). Its promoters were Katarzyna Gierat-Haponiuk, Ph.D. from the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine of the MUG and Zofia Barcikowska, Ph.D.

The MUG graduate competed with 112 participants from 32 universities from all over Poland. The competition committee assessed the submitted works in 4 categories, such as: methodology, substantive value, significance of the work from the scientific perspective and its innovative nature. In addition to financial prizes, the winners of the competition have the opportunity to publish their work in the journal Physiotherapy Review.
