Assistant Professor of the Dept. of Medical Immunology with the EFIS-IL scholarship

Mateusz Gliwiński, Ph.D. from the Department of Medical Immunology of the MUG received a scholarship from the European Federation of Immunological Societies and Immunology Letters for a three-month research internship at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Technische Universität Dresden in Germany. As part of it, the scientist will carry out the project The use of molecular techniques for the advanced study of regulatory T lymphocytes at the level of a single cell under the supervision of Anne Eugster, Ph.D. and Prof. Ezio Bonifacio.

The EFSI-IL scholarship is awarded to researchers aged 35 years or less and holding at least a Master’s degree. As part of the grant, scholarship holders can take part in an international project or advanced training in research techniques and methodology. The funding is for a period of 3 months, and each researcher can only get it once. Members of national EFSI-related associations can apply for a competition organized several times a year. The conditions for obtaining a scholarship include: presentation of the plan of foreign stay, justification of the purposefulness of the project or training implementation and obtaining approval from the host unit.
