MUG's students are the best in the "Scapula Aurea" contest

Successful students of the Medical University of Gdańsk: Helena Kamieniecka, Mikołaj Broncel, Nataniel Żochowski (1st year of medical studies) and Jesica Sarah Quizon, Jonathan Per Peterzéns, Santhanagopalakrishnan Iyer (1st year of medical – ED studies) finished their participation in this year’s edition of the anatomical knowledge contest Scapula Aurea/Golden Scapula. The organizer of the competition, which took place on 28th of May 2022 in Szczecin, was the Pomeranian Medical University. Jan Spodnik, Ph.D. from the Division of Anatomy and Neurobiology of the MUG was responsible for the preparations of the participants and the provision of care during the competition. This is another great start for our students in this prestigious competition, completed with success and places on the podium.

Polish representatives of our University took 1st place in the team classification of the Scapula Aurea competition, while Nataniel Żochowski triumphed individually. Mikołaj Broncel took 3rd place, and Helena Kamieniecka placed on the high 4th position. In the Golden Scapula competition, English-speaking students of the MUG took 4th place in the team classification. In total, 57 Polish- and English-speaking competitors from 11 Polish medical universities took part in the competition.
