Graduation ceremony of the Pharmacy alumni

Eighty-four graduates of Pharmacy from 2016-2022 received their diplomas. The event was held on May 13, 2022 at the Auditorium Maximum of the Faculty of Pharmacy. During the ceremony chaired by the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Wojciech Kamysz, attended by: Rector of the MUG Prof. Marcin Gruchała, Vice-Rector for Science Prof. Michał Markuszewski, Vice-Rector for the Quality of Teaching Dr. Habil. Agnieszka Zimmermann, Pharm.D., Assoc. Prof., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Paweł Zagożdżon, Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy: Dr. Habil. Magdalena Prokopowicz, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Habil. Danuta Siluk, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Habil. Bartosz Wielgomas, Assoc. Prof., members of the Council of the Faculty of Pharmacy, members of the Employers’ Council (Rada Pracodawców), invited guests and the families of graduates. The ceremony was hosted by Joanna Śliwińska, Ph.D., the University’s Spokesman.

After taking the promise, the graduates received their diplomas from the Rector Prof. Marcin Gruchała and the Dean Prof. Wojciech Kamysz. Outstanding graduates were presented with congratulatory letters and book awards funded by the Gdańsk District Chamber of Pharmacy (Gdańska Okręgowa Izba Aptekarska, GOIA). The following were awarded for the results in science: Klaudia Kołodyńska, MPharm. – winner of the Primus Inter Pares award, Dorota Górniak, MPharm., Ewelina Traczykowska, MPharm., Jagoda Miszewska, MPharm., Natalia Nycz, MPharm. Bartosz Fałkowski, MPharm. was awarded for his activities for the benefit of the academic community. In addition, Jagoda Miszewska, MPharm. received from the Prof. Stanisław Janicki Award from the Dean Prof. Wojciech Kamysz and the President of GOIA, Michał Pietrzykowski, MPharm.

Chairwoman of the Competition Committee for Master’s Theses Dr. Habil. Magdalena Prokopowicz, Assoc. Prof. and the president of the Gdańsk Branch of PTFarm Dr. Habil. Piotr Kowalski, Assoc. Prof. handed out diplomas and prizes to the winners of this year’s competition. They were received by:

  • 1st place – Wiktoria Smyk, MPharm. for work Ocena działania cytotoksycznego pochodnej [Met5]-enkefaliny wobec komórek nowotworowych trzustki – promoter Prof. Iwona Inkielewicz-Stępniak
  • 2nd place – Joanna Dłabiszewska, MPharm. for work. Ocena wpływu fazy ciekłej na właściwości mechaniczne plastrów silikonowych i akrylanowych – promoter Prof. Małgorzata Sznitowska
  • 3rd place and the audience award – Klaudia Kołodyńska, MPharm. for work Badanie interakcji pomiędzy Pectobacterium betavasculorum a Arabidospis thaliana – promoter Dr. Habil. Krzysztof Waleron.

Polish Pharmaceutical Students’ Association’s Awards were handed to: Martyna Dwojacka, MPharm., Klaudia Jagielska, MPharm., Michał Majcher, MPharm., Jagoda Miszewska, MPharm., Magdalena Olejnik, MPharm., Bartłomiej Pilarski, MPharm., Mateusz Pieńkoś, MPharm. and Róża Sobieralska, MPharm.. The University Student Government’a Awards obtained: Bartosz Fałkowski, MPharm, Marta Grynberg, MPharm and Stella Grodzicka, MPharm.

Then the invited guests took the floor: Prof. Piotr Szefer – Vice-President of the MUG Alumni Association and Michał Pietrzykowski, MPharm. – President of GOIA. At the end of the ceremony, Michał Majcher, MPharm. spoke on behalf of the graduates. The starost of the 5th year of Pharmacy – Bartłomiej Pesta, on behalf of all the Faculty’s students said goodbye to this year’s graduates.
