MUG in solidarity with Ukraine

Declaration of solidarity with Ukraine
The Senate of the Medical University of Gdańsk has decided unanimously to pass a declaration of solidarity with Ukraine. The declaration expresses the strong condemnation of Russia’s illegal military aggression against Ukraine which is an unprecedented and unacceptable act of violence against an independent state and its inhabitants. Members of the Senate express their solidarity with students, doctoral students, and employees of the MUG coming from Ukraine in a difficult time of struggle for the sovereignty and integrity of their state. Senat also ensures the readiness of support and assistance to students, doctoral students, and employees of Ukrainian universities.
The position taken at the February 28 meeting is also a declaration of participation in all programs of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA, which will be created to support Ukrainian citizens studying and working in Poland.
‒ The existing good long-term cooperation with academic circles in Ukraine should be continued, as well as the presence of Ukrainian students, doctoral students, and employees among the members of our academic community. We are obliged to do so by caring for common European values, such as freedom, equality, and justice ‒ emphasizes the Rector Prof. Marcin Gruchała, chairman of the MUG Senate.
