I would like to congratulate you on the distinctions and, on the other hand, thank you because you receive them for your dedicated work at our University and in our clinical units. This work, especially in the last two years, is extremely difficult. We have to reconcile a very difficult pandemic situation with effective patient treatment and teaching, and we must carry out research projects effectively. It all happens at our University thanks to the enormous commitment and effort of everyone. Today is a day when you can have satisfaction – said Rector of the MUG Prof. Marcin Gruchała.

It is a great honour for me to present decorations to so many distinguished doctors, scientists and educators. If it weren’t for you, your knowledge and willingness to help, but also for science, there would be no generations of future doctors. Thank you very much for your commitment to work, for serving the motherland, patients and science. A pandemic is a test time, you are passing it perfectly – added Deputy Voivode Michał Bąkowski.

Traditionally, the Day of Lecture celebrated on December 15th is an occasion to hand out the Rector’s Awards for employees the most engaged in their duties. List of people awarded for 2020 is available in the file below..
