Paulina Nastały, Ph.D. from the Division of Translational Oncology of the Medical University of Gdańsk has obtained funding from EMBO Scientific Exchange Grant for project The interplay between nuclear envelope architecture, glucocorticoid signaling and YAP pathway leading to prostate cancer progression. The research will be conducted in cooperation with Prof. Giannino Del Sal in the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, Italy.

– Financial support EMBO Scientific Exchange Grant will allow to examine interplay between localization of nuclear envelope peptides, glucocorticoid signaling and mechanobiology of prostate cancer cells, which may led to increasing its aggressiveness – explains Paulina Nastały, Ph.D., whose project will allow to better understand a biology of prostate cancer and to establish an international cooperation with the ICGEB institute.
EMBO is an organization of over 1 800 leading scientists from around the world. Its main tasks include supporting talented scientists at all stages of their careers, stimulating the exchange of scientific information and helping to build a research environment, in which researchers can carry out their work. The institution helps young researchers to develop their research, promote their international reputation and ensure mobility.
