Professors of the MUG in the Team of the Council for Scientific Excellence

Prof. Wieslaw Sawicki, Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Council of the Medical University of Gdańsk, has assumed the position of Deputy Chairman of Team III Medical and Health Sciences of the Council of Scientific Excellence (RDN). The election took place on November 2, 2021, during the monthly meeting. Prof. Jędrzej Antosiewicz, Head of the Division of Bioenergetics and Physiology of Exercise of the MUG, is also a member of the Team.

The tasks of Team III include, among others, the procedure of habilitation proceedings and granting of the title of professor in medical sciences and health sciences. It consists of 12 experts representing 4 fields: medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences (with Prof. Sawicki), health sciences, and physical culture sciences (with Prof. Antosiewicz). Team III of Health Sciences is one of the 8 included in the Council.

The Council of Scientific Excellence was created by the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science. Its members are elected by a vote in which all Polish professors and post-doctoral fellows can participate. Members of the individual teams elect their authorities during separate elections.
