Jakub Kraszewski, Director of the University Clinical Centre, a clinical hospital of the MUG, has received the Portret Polskiej Medycyny 2021 (2021 Polish Medicine Portrait) award in category Manager of Health Market (public facilities). The awards have been handed on 19th of October 2021 during gala accompanying the XVII Forum Rynku Zdrowia (XVII Forum of Health Market). Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk Prof. Marcin Gruchała and Prof. Edyta Szurowska, Vice-Rector for Clinical Affairs also took part in the ceremony.
– I didn’t expect gaining my portrait in life. Many thanks for that. Now I should say a cliché, that it’s a merit of the whole team, but this is the case. It’s a merit of the whole team, because it’s impossible to do such enterprises as running so big hospital alone. That’s why I thank you to all my employees – said Jakub Kraszewski.
Director of the clinical hospital of the MUG is connected with it since 2009. Due to his work, the UCC is now one of the biggest and best hospitals in Poland (1160 beds, almost 3 800 employees and 2nd place in Poland in the World’s Best Hospitals 2021 rank). The hospital’s investments in infrastructure, specialists and effective implementing of many modern solutions allow it to constantly develop and extend capabilities. An example of this is a newly opened Non-Invasive Medical Centre.
Polish Medicine Portrait is an award intended for people with significant successes and merit in the field of healthcare, development of therapy and healthcare facilities managing, both for medics and for managers. It’s given in various categories: Health Market Manager (public and non-public facilities), Health Market Physicians, Health Market Personality and Health Market Leader (main award) by journalists of the magazine and portal Rynek Zdrowia (Health Market).
