Prof. Radosław Owczuk, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care of the Medical University Gdańsk, national consultant in the field of anaesthesiology and intensive care has become a President Elect of the Polish Society of the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy (PSAIT) in term 2021-2024. Prof. Owczuk’s three-year term as a President of the PSAIT will begin in 2024.

Polish Society of the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy has been created i 1959 as the Polish Anaesthesiologists’ Society. It’s a scientific association that bring together and represents Polish anaesthesiologists. Its activity focuses on carrying and supporting research involving fields of medicine associated with PSAIT, education and improvement of qualifications of physicians and other medical staff as well as spreading scientific knowledge. Society’s statute objectives are also i.e. organization of intermational exchanges and supporting medical staff in planning and organizing work involving anaesthesiology, pain treatment anr resuscitation.
