Professor Giuseppe Mancia will be the guest speaker of the third webinar in the Meet our Expert of the International Advisory Council of the MUG series, with a lecture White Coat Hypertension. Professor Mancia’s main research interests focus on the epidemiology pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of hypertension, heart failure, and coronary disease, as well as on the clinical aspects of diabetes, obesity and other metabolic abnormalities. His expertise ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, neurohumoral control of the circulation, large artery mechanics, hemodynamic changes of cardiovascular drugs as well as epidemiology and intervention trials in hypertension and diabetes.
Giuseppe Mancia is Professor Emeritus of the University Milano-Bicocca and President of the Foundation of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH). Professor Mancia has received many prestigious awards, including the AHA Award for Excellence in Hypertension Research, the Heymans Award of the International Society of Pharmacology, the Wright International Award of the High Blood Pressure Council of Australia.
