Summary of "Taming Atopic Dermatitis" action

Over 700 people – patients suffering from atopic dermatitis, parents of children with this disease as well as students interested in that have registered to Oswajamy Atopowe Zapalenie Skóry (Taming Atopic Dermatitis). Action’s first edition was held on 28th April 2021 on the Zoom platform. The event has been organised by Dermatologiczne Studenckie Koło Naukowe (Dermatologic Student Scientific Circle) which supervisor and action’s promoter is Assoc. Prof. Magdalena Trzeciak, Dr. Habil.

Dermatologists, allergologists, paediatricians, gastroenterologists, psychologists and simultaneously practicians who work with children suffering from atopic dermatitis: Assoc. Prof. Magdalena Trzeciak, Dr Habil. from the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology, Dr Habil. Katarzyna Plata-Nazar from the Department of Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Allergology & Paediatric Nutrition, Sylwia Barsow, Ph.D. from the Division of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care, as well as Joanna Małaczyńska-Rentfleisz and members of SKN. Moreover, website www.atopowaskora.pl with posts, articles and advices about atopic dermatitis has been launched.

Members of SSC actively engaged in action were: Monika Łobaza – coordinator, Karol Kołkowski, Alicja Mesjasz, Karolina Cekała, Urszula Balicka, Mikołaj Cichoń, Dominika Tomczyk, Zuzanna Świerczewska, Weronika Zysk, Kinga Bojahr, Urszula Kobus and Miłosz Lewandowski.

The action was held uder the patronate of Rector of the MUG Prof. Marcin Gruchała, institutional patronate of the University, as well as patronates of the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology of the MUG, Polish Dermatological Society, District Medical Chamber in Gdańsk, Marine Department of the PDS and University Clinical Center in Gdańsk.
