Introducing the experts of the International Advisory Council

The first webinar in the Meet Our Experts of the International Advisory Council of the MUG series will be hosted by Professor Christoph C. Zielinski, who will give a lecture entitled Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Cancer. The event will take place on 26/04/2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. To participate in the webinar, please complete the registration form. The deadline for submissions is 23/04/2021.

Professor Zielinski is one of the leading oncologists in Europe. His main scientific interests focus on clinical research in breast and lung cancer as well as personalized medicine and immuno-oncology. Professor Zielinski headed the Department of Oncology and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Medical University of Vienna for many years. He currently holds the title of the Chairman of the Central European Cooperative Oncology Group (CECOG), Medical Director of the Central European Cancer Center and Wiener Privatklinik in Vienna, and is Editor-in-Chief of the European Society of Clinical Oncology (ESMO) journal ESMO Open – Cancer Horizons. As part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University Program, a series of webinars entitled Meet our Expert of the International Advisory Council of the MUG will be held in the coming months. Efficient management of the University’s development in the field of research requires verification of actions and ongoing correction of implemented initiatives. To meet these needs, a special academic unit was created, composed of recognized specialists from foreign medical universities and industry entities. The main objective of the Council is to provide an impartial evaluation of the University’s activitieś as well as to improve its further dynamic development. During the meetings, the speakers will share their experience and discuss issues related to their current scientific activities.
