Vaccinations at the Sports Center

About 100 000 Pomeranian residents every month will be able to get vaccinated in new point created together by the Medical University of Gdańsk, University Clinical Center and the City of Gdańsk. The Mass Vaccination Point (Punkt Szczepień Masowych) will start its work on April 23rd, 2021 at the Sports Center of the MUG at Dębowa 21 street. The initiative has been announced on April 2nd, 2021 during press conference by Professor Marcin Gruchała, Rector of the MUG, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, Mayor of Gdańsk and Jakub Kraszewski, the Executive Director of the University Clinical Center.

In cooperation with the MUG and the UCC, the authorities of Gdańsk reported readiness to create four MVPs which will be situated in sports hall of the MUG, Ergo Arena, Gdańsk Stadium and in the Gdańsk International Fair’s facilities. The biggest one is considered to be created at the Sports Center of the MUG which will be available for 12 hours from 8 to 20 every day. Due to that there might be about 5 000 vaccinations daily and up to 100 000 vaccinations per month. Total capacity of all four points may reach even 50 000 vaccinations per week.
