How long can the circulating tumor cells (CTCs) survive in the organism? How can the therapy of ischemic stroke change? What is ADE and why it’s important in SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus research? Scientists from the Medical University of Gdańsk are working on these matters, among other issues. The Medical University of Gdańsk is constituted by over a 1000 employees and over 300 doctoral students – who are involved both individually and as team members in the implementation of research projects, and are actively publishing in the national and international scientific circuit. Recently, the platform www.scienceispeople.mug.edu.pl, where the scientists’ work and achievements can be seen, has been launched.

– I am very glad that we have the opportunity to implement a campaign promoting our scientific achievements. It is essential for the general public to learn of what we are working on and how it can translate into modern forms of therapy. It’s also significant to ease the information flow between scientists and help them to develop an interdisciplinary cooperation – said prof. Miłosz Jaguszewski, chairman of the projects’ Scientific Council.

In following months the profiles of researchers from the MUG, their interestings and recent scientifical achievements will be presented on the project’s website. The aim of this enterprise is the popularization of their important scientifical accomplishments, as well as their impact on the development of modern medical tools and the patients’ quality of life.
