Department of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry at the Medical University of Gdańsk will be implementing a Polish-Norwegian grant within an international research consortium scheduled for 2020-2023, entitled Transportation of therapeutic pharmaceuticals with ocean currents and impact of these compounds on marine organisms in the European part of the Arctic.
Adam Piotr Sokołowski, Ph.D., D.Sc. from the University of Gdańsk is the project’s leader and Anna Hallman, Ph.D., D.Sc. from the MUG is its designated coordinator. The grant will be realised in cooperation with the SINTEF Ocean AS, Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the University Centre in Svalbard, Department of Arctic Technology.
Project funding amounts to 6 345 996 PLN (1 489 705 EUR).
