Due to the constantly increasing SARS-CoV-2 virus incidence rate and areas of its active transmission, the Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk decrees that all didacting are suspended until 25th March 2020. All MUG students, doctoral students and employees are advised to remain at their permanent place of residence.
Important explanatory notice:
Due to much misinformation about the Rector’s decree which advised you to return home please note that the document stated the authorities’ recommendations not orders.
In our opinion your stay at home will be much safer than being here in the dormitory or in Gdańsk in general. Nonetheless, in individual cases it may be the other way round – you can stay here, either in the dormitory or your apartment.
We do take into account that when you come back it might be necessary to stay 14 days in quarantine. It now difficult to assess how the situation will develop.
It shall be your decision alone whether to stay or return home. In any case – we will provide individual support. Please follow the news on our website, the Extranet and the FB page – there will be more information about online classes.
The duration of the current two week suspension of all didacting activity may change in accordance with the dynamics of the coronavirus outbreak. Should you have any questions or issues about your return/travel or stay in Gdańsk please contact the proper deans’ office or the office for students’ affairs.
