The 1st Pomorski Staff Week has officially commenced on December 2nd. The event was coorganized by seven Pomeranian universities: the University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology, Medical University of Gdańsk, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Academy of Music in Gdask, Gdynia Maritime University, University of Business and Administration and the City Halls of Gdańsk and Gdynia, along with the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
On the 3rd the participants were hosted by the Medical University of Gdańsk and in the afternoon by the Gdynia Maritime University and the University of Business and Administration.
During their visit at the MUG our guests had an opportunity to participate in a special seminar on internationalization. The following subjects were taken up.
Prof. Jacek Bigda, Vice-Rector for Development and Education talked about University’s internationalization development strategy. Mrs. Marzena Kołtoniak gave a presentation on Welcome Point and services that it provides for incoming/foreign students. The representative of the MUG’s Department of Foreign Languages, Mrs. Magda Warzocha said a few words about various cultural initatives organized for the international candidates and students. Mr. Dawid Spychała from the Department of Internationalization explained the essential mechanisms of the Department’s organizational structure and activity. Officer for International Accreditations Mrs. Izabela Kowalczyk-Dec presented the MUG’s international accreditation policy.
After the seminar guests visited the Centre of Invasive Medicine and Welcome Point.
