‘Take the ED Student In’ Christmas Initative

For the first time in the history of the Medical University of Gdańsk foreign students who will not be travelling back home for Christmas have a unique opportunity the opportunity to spend the Holidays with their Polish fellow students and their families.

‘Take the ED Student In’ Christmas Initative was launched by the University’s Welcome Point. – for various reasons students from Asia, Africa or America often cannot travel back home during this special time. – explains Marzena Kołtoniak, coordinator of the campaign. – We believe that this will provide them with a perfect opportunity to learn about Polish tradition, customs and hospitality. It can also help in breaking stereotypes and integration.

So far 10 people have volunteered to welcome a special foreign guest this Christmas. We invite everyone to participate in our holiday initiative.
