The MUG scientists at the international neurosurgical congress in Beijing

Prof. Paweł Słoniewski and Tomasz Szmuda, M.D., Ph.D. from the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of Gdańsk took part in the Congress of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) which was held in Beijing on September 9th-12th, 2019.

Our scientists presented the results of their research and exchanged experiences in various fields of neurosurgery. They gave two oral presentations in the field of vascular microsurgery, conducted a scientific session and presented 9 scientific posters.

The WFNS Congress is the most important event for all neurosurgeons, bringing together world-class international specialists. This year marks the 100th anniversary of establishing neurosurgery as a separate medical specialty.
