The MUG scientist at a conference in Budapest

Jerzy Jankau, M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc., the head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the MUG represented our university during the first conference of the newly established Central-Eastern European Breast Cancer Surgical Consortium.
The meeting was held in Budapest from June 12th to 14th. Zoltan Matrai, Ph.D., together with prof. Dawid Murawa, the head of the Department of Surgery and Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Zielona Góra and the representatives of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the MUG were the originators of the event.
The first day of the conference was devoted to organizational issues and was attended by health ministers of Central and Eastern European countries, including the Polish Minister of Health, prof. Łukasz Szumowski. During the days that followed the treatment of breast cancer in individual countries was discussed. What is more, a workshop was held during which various operational procedures were presented.
