The success of the MUG students in "Scapula Aurea 2019"

The students of the MUG were once again successful in the National Anatomic Knowledge Competition ‘Scapula Aurea’ claiming the valuable scored places, including those on the podium. The 2019 edition of the event took place on June 7th 2019 in Katowice.
In the Polish-speaking category the team of our first year students, Bartosz Hirsz, Agata Kozyro and Karolina Strzelecka took 3rd place. Whereas, Agata Kozyro took the 4rd place. In the English-speaking category the team of our second year year students, Sophia Ahmed Nylud, James Issa i Karolina Mosakowska, took 2nd place. Dr Jan Spodnik was the academic supervisor.
Over 70 students from Poland participated in the competition. It consisted of two parts: theoretical and practical in which students had to recognize and give the correct anatomical name of 50 structures. In the part examining theoretical knowledge, students had to solve a test consisting of 60 questions concerning the details of the human anatomy.
It should be emphasized that the MUG students were highly successful in all the past editions of the event.
