An award for a specialist from MUG

Anna Starzyńska, M.D., Ph.D., head of the Department of Oral Surgery received an award from the National Association of Surgery and Dental Implant Prosthetics (OSIS-EDI) for the effort put into the development of dental surgery. The award was given at the 13th International OSIS-EDI Congress, which took place in Jachranka on May 16-18. The theme of the Congress was devoted mainly to extensive bone augmentation, the use of platelet-rich fibrin during bone and tissue regeneration procedures, the use of lasers during around implant procedures, and the prevention and treatment of periimplantitis.

The international group of lecturers who performed at the Congress included, among others: prof. Myron Nevins, M.D., Ph.D., (Harvard, USA), member of the scientific committee of the OSIS-EDI congress, Joseph Choukroun, M.D., Ph.D., (Nice, France) creator of A-PRF acquisition methods, Robert J. Miller, M.D., Ph.D., (Florida, USA), Marco Ronda, M.D., Ph.D., (Geneva, Italy), Sergio Spinato, M.D., Ph.D., (Bologna, Italy), Daniele Cardaropoli, M.D., Ph.D., (Turin, Italy), Stefano Parma Benfenati, M.D., Ph.D., (Turin, Italy) and Vanessa Riuz Magaz, M.D., Ph.D., (Barcelona, Spain).
