Magdalena Bazgier, a sixth year student of the medical faculty, took the second place at the 15th Warsaw International Medical Congress. The event took place on May 9-12. The presented and awarded work “Left ventricular volumes and function is affected by the cardiac fibrosis in patients with Becker and Duchenne muscular dystrophies in CMR” has been highly rated by the scientific committee in the pediatric session.
Work presents the achievements of MUG’s scientists who want to know better and fully understand the changes which are taking place in the heart and their influence on the left ventricular function in patients with muscular dystrophies. MUG specialists have analyzed over 40 magnetic resonance results of patients with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
