Professor Moryś visited the University of Palermo

Professor Janusz Moryś, head of the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology of MUG visited the Institute of Anatomy of the University of Palermo. Visit took place on May 9-12. Professor Moryś gave a two-part lecture for students and employees entitled “The anatomical explanation of the symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease” and “How we teach Human Anatomy in Gdańsk”.

The lecture was also attended by invited professors from other parts of Italy, including: prof. Velia D’Agata from the Department of Biomedics and Biotechnological Sciences of the University of Catania, prof. Alessandro Vercelli from the Neuroscience Institute Cavalieri Ottelenghi of the University of Turin and prof. Fabio Bucchieri, director of the PhD Program in Biomedicine and Neuroscience at the University of Palermo. During the visit, there was also an opportunity to discuss the possibilities of scientific cooperation between the department and – which is extremely interesting – the idea of creating joint studies in the field of neuroscience.
