Success of MUG’s student at the International Medical Congress of Silesia

Agata Knurowska (5th year, medicine) took first place in the Case Report session at the International Medical Congress of Silesia in 2019. The event took place on May 24-25 in Katowice. Student presented “Stroke as a rare complication after varicella” case. Presentation concerned complications after chickenpox. An 8-year-old female patient experienced several strokes and ischemic episodes that lead to partial paralysis, facial nerve paralysis and behavioral disorders. The conclusions of the study concerned the possibility of complications after chickenpox and the necessity of vaccinations.
