MUG’s cooperation with Nagoya University

Branko Aleksic from Nagoya University International Cooperation Office visited Medical University of Gdańsk. It was an opportunity to meet with the rector GUMed prof. Marcin Gruchała. The main topic of the meeting was the NUPACE programme, in which the Gdańsk Medical University and Nagoya University School of Medicine participate. Collaboration between universities allows student exchange for a period of 4 to 12 months.

In the meeting participated: prof. Michał Woźniak, M.D., Ph.D., head of the Department of Medical Chemistry who as a visiting prof. conducted classes at Nagoya University, Adam Figarski, M.D. from the Department of Medical Chemistry and two students from Nagoya Univesrity Eriko Sumi and Rika Nakamura.

Students of the Faculty of Medicine and Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology MUG, who have completed the second year of full-time studies, have good grades and a very good command of English (language certificate), can take part in the exchange. Students can apply for a NUPACE scholarship twice a year. In the winter term (deadline documents submission expires on 1 December) and in the summer term (deadline documents submission applications expires on 15 March).

Medical University of Gdańsk has been participating in the NUPACE programme since February 1996.
