Discussion about Africa’s problems (e.g. epidemics), chance to see photos taken on African soil and opportunity to taste tea from Rwanda and Tanzania. Those attractions awaited for the participants of the “Doctors for Africa” conference. Event was held on March 15 in the Auditorium Primum at Atheneum Gedanense Novum. Event was organised by the local branch of International Federation of Medical Students’ Assotiations IFMSA – Poland.
The conference was attended by: Zofia Awiżeń, Marta Hajduga, M.D., Dagna Pirska-Żurawska, M.D., Mateusz Nowicki, M.D., and MUG’s students: Daniel Kasprowicz and Krystian Królewicz. The lecture was given also by prof. Krzysztof Korzeniewski, M.D., Ph.D. – specialist in epidemiology and tropical diseases. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of prof. Marcin Gruchała, rector of MUG.
