How much sugar there is in popular food products, how to prepare your own cream and what secrets are hidden in plant resources. Additionally, chemical demonstrations and the possibility of obtaining information on the adoption of laboratory animals. The Gdańsk Science and Fun Festival could not have been held in such an interesting form without the involvement of MUG’s students.
Students of pharmacy took part in the event, which took place on March 9, 2019 in the High School No. 10. Event was attended by students of pharmacy: Karolina Cąkała, Karolina Puchalska and Aleksandra Wicińska from scientific circle at the Department of Bromatology, as well as Ula Kijanko, Klaudia Kurlapska and Jonatan Mroczek from scientific circle at the Department of Biopharmacy and Pharmacodynamics. Public health faculty was represented by Natalia Chrzczonowska. Materials for the event were made available thanks to Department of Pharmacognosy, Department of Applied Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry. The event was coordinated by Damian Szczesny, Ph.D., from the Tri-City Academic Laboratory Animal Centre – Research and Services Centre. The Science and Play Festival was also an opportunity to collect funds for charity. This year PLN 6370,24 was collected. Money will go to patients of “Hospicjum Pomorze Dzieciom” Foundation.
