Valuable help for University Clinical Centre

Almost PLN 176 million was collected during this year’s edition of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The funds will be used to purchase diagnostic equipment for laboratories. One of the beneficiaries is University Clinical Centre (UCC) – hospital of the Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG).

Summary of the 27th edition of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity took place on 8 March 2019 at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk. Among the gathered guests there was a representation of MUG: Vice-Rector for Clinical Affairs prof. Edyta Szurowska, M.D., Ph.D., chief executive officer of UCC Jakub Kraszewski, heads of Department of Paediatrics: prof. Elżbieta Adamkiewicz-Drożyńska, M.D., Ph.D., prof. Aleksandra Żurowska, M.D., Ph.D., dr hab. Maria Mazurkiewicz-Bełdzińska, M.D., Ph.D. and dr hab. Jolanta Wierzba, M.D., Ph.D.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation has been supporting the University Clinical Centre for many years. This year’s action involved 1700 staffs in Poland and 86 foreign staffs, e.g. from Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, China and the Polish Polar Station in Hornsund.
