German evening with MUG

It was an evening full of attractions for students interested in German culture and language. The Department of Foreign Languages organised a German evening at the University. What is the coat of arms of German student fraternities (Studentenverbindungen) and what is the traditional Kartoffelsalat taste? Answers not only to these questions appeared on the German evening organised by the Department of Foreign Languages on the 24th of January. During the meeting, students presented the following presentations:

  • “German student brotherhoods” – Jan Wendt, I year, medical student
  • “Newest technologies in radiology” – Małgorzata Borowiak, II year, electroradiology
  • “Homelessness problem in Germany”- Martyna Lewandowska, I year, nutrition and dietetics
  • “German Alps in the winter – the best ski trails”- Błażej Rusiecki, IV year, medical student “German Oktoberfest”- Nicole Geryk and Kinga Masłowska (IV year, medical students).

During the meeting, guests tasted a German salad and typical German snacks and listened to German music. The meeting was moderated by Ewa Danisz, M.A. (Department of Foreign Languages).

Invited guests took part in the evening: Vice-Rector for Students’ Affairs dr hab. Tomasz Smiatacz, M.D., Ph.D., Jacek Kaczmarek, Ph.D and Dawid Spychała, M.A. from MUG’s International Relations Office, head of the Department of Foreign Languages dr Anna Kuciejczyk, Elżbieta Perepeczko M.A., Hanna Szulc-Bednarczyk M.A. and Bożena Jakimczyk, M.A. (Department of Foreign Languages).
