The Polish National Agency for the Academic Exchange awarded Marlena Zyśk, Ph.D, assistant professor of the Department of Molecular Medicine for the implementation research project “The role of immune-reactive astrocytes in the progression of Alzheimer’s disease”. The Bekker Programme during 12 months of scholarship will be implemented at the Uppsala University (Sweden). The aim of the Programme is to increase international mobility of scientists and academic professors employed at Polish universities and scientific units by enabling them to conduct research or teach in renowned foreign centres around the world. Marlena Zyśk, Ph.D will conduct her research together with a team of prof. Anne Erlandsson (Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences, Geriatrics; Molecular Geriatrics / Rudbeck laboratory).
