About Parkinson's disease in Dubai

Anna Roszmann, Ph.D. from the Department of Neurological and Psychiatric Nursing took part in the 3rd edition of the educational meetings for specialists in the field of movement disorders and treatment of patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease. She was invited to present two lectures and workshop “Keep life flowing in APD management” on the implementation, care and aftercare in patients treated with Duodopa (continuous intestinal levodopa infusion). The meeting took place between November 2 and 3 in Dubai.

The scientific programme focused on theory-practice workshops designed for each member of the multidisciplinary team working with advanced Parkinson’s disease patients. Specific workshops for neurologists, for nurses specialized in the management of Parkinson´s pisease the content was about how to deal with the implementation and follow up of patients on LCIG-therapy and another one for gastroenterologists, where the required surgical procedure were described and cases were presented.
