MUG cooperation with Virginia Commonwealth University

Rector of MUG prof. Marcin Gruchała, M. D.,Ph. D., Vice-Rector for Development and Education prof. Jacek Bigda, M. D., Ph.D. and prof. Piotr Czauderna, M. D., Ph.D., head of the Department of Surgery and Urology for Children and Adolescents took part in Business, Science and Innovation Summit in Virginia (Richmond, USA).

During the meetings from the 15th until the 18th of October 2018 were signed letters of intent with the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the VCU Massey Cancer Centre. The cooperation purpose between units is academic and scientific exchange and internationalization, didactic cooperation and innovations implementation.

The agreement was signed by prof. Marcin Gruchała and from the American side: David X. Cifu, M.D., Associate Dean for Innovation and Systems Integration, VCU and Gordon D. Ginder, M. D., Director of VCU Massey Cancer Centre.

Delegation participants were also Polish Ambassador to the United States prof. Piotr Wilczek, deputy minister of health Zbigniew Król, director of the political cabinet of the Minister of Health Radosław Sierpiński, deputy president of the National Health Fund Adam Niedzielski, director of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System Roman Topór-Mądry, M. D. Ph.D., and representatives of the Alliance for Innovation Polish-American Foundation, Lazarski University and Maria Sklodowska-Curie Institute — Oncology Centre.
